Showcase helps drive NSW success

The Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) has built an impressive track record in helping local companies make their mark overseas, boasting members and alumni including global success stories Animal Logic and Atlassian.

The Showcase is a national program promoting Australian innovations to the global market, and supporting the companies behind them. More than 150 NSW-based ICT and digital media companies and their locally developed technologies now participate in the Showcase.

The Showcase was established by the NSW Government in 1997 to capitalise on the international spotlight of the Sydney Olympic Games. It became a national program in 2001.

Over the past 12 years, the Showcase has directly contributed to more than $720 million in business wins for its NSW members, including $400 million in export sales.

Over the years, Showcase members have developed innovative technology solutions in areas including:

  • internet platforms
  • security
  • collaboration
  • content management systems
  • risk/compliance management
  • supply chain management
  • ITIL/help desk
  • mobile applications.

Strict criteria apply to Showcase membership. Applicants must be established small and medium enterprises who can demonstrate that their technology is genuinely innovative and has international export potential.

Showcase assistance helps members licence their technologies and attract foreign and local capital for technology development and commercialisation.

Export grants are available to help eligible companies visit potential markets, participate in trade fairs, protect intellectual property, develop export-related promotional material, and improve their business planning.
